In line with our
commitment to sustainability, White Martins uses charcoal from renewable
forests to produce calcium carbide. We also ensure that all of the CO2
generated during the process is processed through a plant attached to the
factory, to recycle it for industrial use.
These efforts ensure that the carbide has a closed and integrated production cycle, which allows us to reduce the impact on the environment and on the neighboring communities.
